This plant combines red color with fine feather-like leaves. It is often sold under the name: Myriophyllum mattogrossense Red. It differs significantly from the real, green Myriophyllum mattogrossense from South America. This plant from Asia requires high levels of light, CO2 and nutrients. It grows up to 60 cm, and each stem is 3-4 cm wide. This species grows quickly and must be trimmed frequently to maintain a dense, compact appearance. Cut stems can be planted next to the group to get an increasingly dense group. Thanks to the red or orange color, the Myriophyllum clump effectively contrasts with green plants with a fine structure. The plant requires clean water and a fertile ground.
