Red Nose shrimps
Red Nose shrimps , also known as the Rudolf, or Red Skunk or Pinocchio shrimps are pretty uncommon dwarf shrimp that are very unique in appearance. They have unusually long rostrum (nose), which can even be regenerated if broken. Unlike most shrimps, males are larger and more colorful than females. They are bright red with yellow stripe on its back and nose and have clear body. Breeding in the aquarium is possible, but very difficult and extremely uncommon.
Those shrimps are very useful as the bulk of their diet is biofilm, algae, and decaying plant matter so they will work diligently to clean up the waste in any aquarium. In a less mature aquarium, they should be fed high quality flake and mini pellet dry foods with high algae/spirulina/plant content(you can find those products in our shop).
As constant scavengers they are great shrimps to watch.
